Vogler is a movie-script writer and he focuses on popular movies as his examples, making it easier to familiarize yourself with the example if you haven't seen it. What Vogler has done is taken A Hero of a Thousand Faces and made it simple to understand.

Drawing from his long career in Hollywood, Vogler cites well-known movies, myths, and fairy tales, including some of his own projects, like Heaven’s Gate, The Lion King, and Fight Club.
